A trading platform, also known as a trading terminal, is a specialized application for computers, laptops, or smartphones that enables users to execute trades in financial markets.
Trading Platforms at AMarkets
AMarkets offers two leading trading platforms for independent trading: MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5). Developed by MetaQuotes Software, these are the most widely used trading terminals for CFD trading.

Account Compatibility
Accounts created for MetaTrader 4 are only compatible with MT4, and accounts created for MetaTrader 5 are only compatible with MT5. It is not possible to use an MT4 account on the MT5 platform or vice versa. Traders who wish to use both platforms must open separate AMarkets accounts and install both terminals on their PC or mobile devices.
MetaTrader for PC
The desktop version of MetaTrader can be installed on Windows (64-bit, Windows 7 or later) and macOS.
AMarkets provides both MetaTrader 4 and MetaTrader 5 for PC, offering advanced trading features, including Expert Advisors (trading robots) and custom indicators. These features are exclusive to the desktop version and are not available on mobile or web platforms.
MetaTrader for Mobile Devices
MetaTrader’s mobile app enables convenient trading on the go. To get started, traders need:
- A mobile device running iOS or Android
- The MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 app
- An active internet connection

Note: The mobile version does not support Expert Advisors or custom indicators.
MetaTrader Web Terminal
The MetaTrader Web Terminal allows trading directly from a web browser without downloading or installing any software. It is accessible from any internet-connected device.
MT4 MultiTerminal
Designed for traders and account managers handling multiple accounts, the MT4 MultiTerminal enables:
- One-click order execution
- Automatic distribution of trade volumes across accounts based on fund availability, balance size, or profit levels
Note: The MultiTerminal does not support trading robots (EAs).
