What Steps Need to Be Taken After Registration?

After registering a Personal area with AMarkets, follow these three simple steps to start trading in the financial markets:

1. Verify your email address, phone number, personal data

2. Open a demo or live trading account

3. Download a trading platform

Passing the verification procedure

To start trading with AMarkets, a trader needs to go through the verification process.

Email address verification

To verify your email address immediately after registration:

  1. Go to your inbox and search for an incoming email with the subject line “confirmation code”.
  2. Click the confirmation button “Verify” in that email to verify your email address. You can also copy the generated code and paste it into the field in your personal account.

If you have not received an email with the confirmation link, go to your AMarkets account: “My profile” and click “Verify e-mail”. On the page that opens click “Resend e-mail”.

To change the e-mail address, click on the “Edit” icon (“Pencil” icon to the right of the current e-mail address), enter the correct address to the “E-mail address” field and press “Send e-mail”.

Phone number verification

To verify your phone number, you should complete verification of the email address first. After the email verification is done, reload the page and press the “Verify phone number” link.

Go to “My profile” of your AMarkets account, check the phone number that you have provided during registration and click “Verify phone number” below.

A message will be sent to the phone number that you have indicated. Enter the code that you have received in a special window that appears in your AMarkets account. If the code is correct, the window will disappear and your mobile phone will be verified.

To change your phone number, click the “Edit” icon (“Pencil” icon right to the current phone number), enter the correct phone number (with international code) and then press “Change phone number” below the field.

Open a demo or live trading account

Immediately after registering your AMarkets account, you will get access to a demo or live trading account (it will be opened for you depending on the chosen registration path). In these instructions, however, we will guide you through the process of opening a new demo or live trading account in your Trader area on the AMarkets website.

Opening a demo account

To open a demo account, go to the “Settings” > “New demo account” section.

On a new page that appears select:

  • The trading account type;
  • Version of the trading platform;
  • Specify the desired virtual balance;
  • Leverage.

When all these steps are completed, press “Open account”.

Opening a live account

To open a live trading account, go to the “Settings” > “New live account” section.

On a new page that appears, select:

  • account type;
  • version of the trading platform;
  • account currency;
  • leverage ratio;
  • position accounting method (only for MetaTrader 5).

Download a trading platform

To trade on a demo or live trading account with AMarkets, you will need to use the MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 trading platform.
