If you trade using MetaTrader for mobile devices (iPhone in particular), we recommend that you watch a detailed instructional video on how to add/remove trading instruments in MetaTrader on your iPhone

Calculating margin

The margin (collateral) is a portion of your account equity reserved to hold a position open. Before placing a trade, it’s important to calculate the transaction volume to ensure you have enough free funds in your account.

To calculate the margin required to open a position, use our Trader’s Calculator.

The calculator allows you to calculate the following parameters in USD:

  • Spread
  • Cost of pip
  • Swap
  • Margin per trade

Checking the trading hours

Before placing a trade, it’s essential to familiarize yourself with the trading session schedule and hours for the instruments you’re interested in.

To find out the trading hours for various financial instruments:

  • Visit the “Trading” ⇒ “Trading Instruments” section on the AMarkets website.
  • In the MetaTrader platform, right-click the instrument in the “Market Watch” window and select “Specification.” This will show you the quotes and trading sessions for that instrument.
